Once you have purchased your SSL Certificate, please carefully follow the steps set out in the
guide.
The steps to follow are:
- start the activation process (from an email or your Customer Area) by following the instructions in the relevant guide;
- enter the contacts according to the type of certificate; for more information please refer to the relevant guide;
- enter your CSR if you already have one, or generate one using the appropriate tool: for more information, please refer to the guide;
- choose the type of domain validation according to your needs, by following the instructions in the guide;
- validate the domain by following the relevant process for the validation method chosen (file .txt, change to DNS, etc.) in the previous step;
- please wait for the activation process to finish; the time required may vary depending on which type of Certificate you have chosen: for more information about validating domains, please refer to the relevant guide;
- download the SSL Certificate from the email received by the technical contact whose details were provided or by visiting the Customer Area;
- install the SSL Certificate on the server hosting the domain: for more details on how to install an SSL Certificate, follow the instructions in the guide.
