Why reissue a Certificate?
You may need to reissue an SSL Certificate:
- if you have lost the private key;
- to add a domain to a SAN type Certificate, if you have not already used all the domains included in your Certificate;
- to update the technical contact.
When to reissue a Certificate
You can only reissue a Certificate if it is still active and not in the process of being renewed.
If your Certificate is about to expire, you cannot reissue it but will need to renew it. Follow the guide to renewing your SSL Certificate.
You cannot reissue a Certificate that has ACME enabled.
