1. Start the activation procedure
- Sign in to your Customer area with your account username and password. If you’ve forgotten how to do this, see the guide to signing in to your Customer area;
- select Your plan;
- click on Activate new certificate;
- choose the certificate you want to activate from the dropdown menu. If necessary, also select the type of certificate from the list that appears below;
- select Confirm.
2. Enter the name of the domain
- Enter the name of the domain to be certified;
- select Continue.
3. Enter the CSR
Follow this guide to enter the CSR.
4. Enter contact details
Follow this guide to enter contact details.
5. Choose the type of domain validation
Follow this guide to choose the type of validation of the domain to certify.
6. Send the details to the Certification Authority
Follow this guide to send the details to the Certification Authority (CA).
7. Validate the domain
Take the steps required to validate the domain, according to the validation method selected in the previous step: email the administrator, publish a .txt file, edit on DNS, check the Aruba domains database.
8. Wait for validation to be completed
Once the domain has been validated, wait for the process to be completed.
Times vary depending on the type of Certificate chosen:
- DV: this type does not require any further checks because the SSL certificate is generated immediately;
- OV: this type of certificate requires a series of checks on the details entered. The operator may check the contacts;
- EV: involves the same checks as for an OV SSL certificate so you may be contacted by the operator responsible for the checks.

9. Download the SSL Certificate
Download the SSL Certificate from the email sent to the technical contact indicated or from your Customer area.
To download the SSL Certificate from your Customer area:
- sign in to the Customer area with your username and password. If you can’t remember how, follow the guide to signing in to your Customer area;
- select Dashboard;
- go to Download .p7b file or Download .pem file for the Certificate to download.
10. Install the SSL Certificate
Follow the guide to install the SSL Certificate on the server hosting the domain.
